Epidemiology, incidence, and trend of injuries in Iran: A national study

Introduction: Injuries are one of the well-known leading causes disability and mortality in all societies. This study aims to determine incidence trend injuries their epidemiologic characteristics Iran. Methods: In a cross-sectional study, injury fatality data from 2008 2016 were obtained registry Ministry Health Medical Education (Iran) analyzed epidemiological pattern injuries. Data using descriptive analysis. Excel statistical package SPSS version 22 used for P ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The highest related traffic with 546.4/100,000 population, followed by trauma falls heights 497.7 195.2/100,000 respectively. Iran had occurred 2011 628.1/100,000 population. Conclusion: Regarding high injuries, especially crashes, traumas, falls, priorities close monitoring these during high-risk periods decrease control rate strongly felt.
